High-Pressure Industrial Liquid Filtration
Oxford XCLPS-HP High-Pressure Self-Cleaning Filter
A high-pressure 316 stainless steel self-cleaning scraping screen filter for industrial liquid filtration applications up to 50 bar.
The Oxford XCLPS-HP self-cleaning filter is designed for higher pressure and larger flow industrial liquid filtration applications where manual cleaning, process downtime and operator exposure need to be reduced.
High-Pressure Self-Cleaning Filtration for Industrial Liquids
The Oxford XCLPS-HP high-pressure self-cleaning filter is a blade-type scraping screen filter designed for demanding industrial liquid filtration applications where higher operating pressures, larger connection sizes or higher flow requirements are involved.
During operation, process liquid passes through a stainless steel wedge wire filter element. Retained solids are removed from the screen surface by the internal cleaning blade, allowing the filter to be cleaned without opening the housing during normal cleaning operation.
With a pressure rating of 50 bar / 725 psi at 50°C, the XCLPS-HP model is suited to high-pressure liquid filtration duties where a standard lower-pressure self-cleaning filter may not be suitable.
Suitable where you need to:
- Filter liquids at higher pressure
- Reduce manual filter cleaning
- Improve process continuity
- Reduce operator contact with process liquid
- Use larger flanged connection sizes
- Automate or simplify the cleaning process
Features & Benefits
Designed for higher pressure industrial liquid filtration where reduced downtime and enclosed cleaning are important.
50 Bar High-Pressure Rating
The XCLPS-HP is rated to 50 bar / 725 psi at 50°C, making it suitable for higher pressure liquid filtration applications.
Self-Cleaning Scraping System
Internal blade cleaning removes retained solids from the screen surface without the need to manually remove the filter element during normal cleaning.
Manual or Automatic Operation
The XCLPS-HP can be supplied with manual or automatic cleaning operation depending on process requirements and site preferences.
316 Stainless Steel Construction
Manufactured from 316 stainless steel for compatible industrial liquid filtration applications requiring robust corrosion-resistant construction.
Wedge Wire Filter Element
Stainless steel wedge wire media provides a durable filtration surface, with filtration ratings available from 50 micron.
Larger Size Range
Available in DN50 to DN300 sizes, making the XCLPS-HP suitable for larger flow and higher duty applications.
How the XCLPS-HP Self-Cleaning Filter Works
Process liquid enters the high-pressure filter housing and passes through the stainless steel wedge wire element. Suspended solids are retained on the screen surface while filtered liquid continues through the outlet.
When cleaning is required, the internal scraping blade removes collected solids from the screen surface. Depending on the configuration, the cleaning process can be carried out manually or automatically.
This enclosed cleaning method helps reduce the need to open the filter for routine cleaning, supporting improved safety, reduced maintenance labour and more consistent filtration performance.
- High-pressure enclosed liquid filtration
- Blade-type self-cleaning action
- Stainless steel wedge wire screen
- Manual or automatic cleaning options
- Reduced need to open the filter for routine cleaning

Oxford XCLPS-HP high-pressure self-cleaning filters are used where suspended solids need to be removed from compatible industrial liquids under higher pressure operating conditions.
Also Available: Standard XCLPS 14 Bar Model
For applications that do not require the 50 bar high-pressure rating, the standard Oxford XCLPS self-cleaning filter is available with a 14 bar / 200 psi rating at 50°C.
The standard XCLPS model may be suitable for general industrial liquid filtration duties where smaller sizes or lower operating pressures are required.
